My opportunity stated is the UFV Teacher Education Program. With that in mind, listed below are a few of the relevant classes that I took during my undergrad to support myself during the program.

Educational Psychology

This course addresses two fundamental questions: How do we learn and how do we create the conditions for others to learn? Content includes evaluating established theories of learning and development and considering why certain theories of learning have been privileged in Western education. Topics include learning theory, maturation and development, social conditions for learning, and specific instructional strategies that enable learning. Designed for students interested in pursuing a BEd.

Curriculum and Assessment in Second Language Education

Students will design, align, and use curriculum, materials, assessments, and language standards to foster learning in second language education. Students develop expertise in the use of the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CBL) in curriculum and assessment.

Second Language Education Practicum

This practicum component of the TESL certificate enables students to apply their studies of theory and methodology of second language teaching and learning in an approved ESL instructional setting.
